This is a support site for Uhuru B. Rowe.  A prisoner in Virginia.  Read this post and this post to learn more about him and the system that has kept him in prison for over 20 years and counting.

There are several things you can do to support Uhuru.  One of them is simply write him a letter.  Prison is a lonely place and just knowing that you have people who are simply thinking of you can help, A LOT!

  • You can write a letter to Gov. Ralph Northam on Uhuru’s behalf urging to grant him clemency. You can start your letter by stating: “I am writing this letter on behalf of Brian L. Rowe, a.k.a. Uhuru B. Rowe, No. 1131545, who currently has a clemency petition pending with your office. Rowe should be granted a conditional pardon or commutation of sentence because …” You can personalize your letter after this.
    In addition to the matters mentioned within this article, your letters should Uhurumention that since his incarceration, Uhuru has earned his GED, vocational diplomas in Auto Body Detailing, Auto Body Painter’s Helper, Auto Body Glass Installer, and treatment certificates in Anger Management, AVL Course/Employability Skills, Breaking Barriers, and Preventing Recidivism by Educating for Parole Success (PREPS).
    Your letters should mention the fact that he has received only one institutional infraction, or write-up, over the last eight years and any other information not mentioned above which will be beneficial.
