The New Black Child’s Pledge
By Uhuru B. Rowe
December 8, 2017
I pledge firm allegiance to my beautiful Black brothers and sisters and to love them as I love myself.
I pledge to develop a revolutionary, political, and militant mind to the fullest possible extent.
I will seek, learn, and study all that I can about my Black history and culture, and the Black Liberation Movement in order to give my absolute best to my Black brothers and sisters in their pursuit of and struggle for Freedom, Justice, and Equality.
I will keep myself physically fit, maintain a healthy diet, and build a strong body that is free of drugs and other toxic substances which weakens me and lessens my ability to protect myself, my family, and my Black brothers and sisters.
I will eagerly share my knowledge, wisdom, and understanding with them in order to liberate their minds and bring about revolution more quickly.
I will always strive to show respect to all Black people in word and in deed.
I will rob or steal nothing from a Black brother or sister, cheat no Black brother or sister, abuse no Black brother or sister, misuse no Black brother or sister, deceive no Black brother or sister, inform or rat on no Black brother or sister, and spread no rumors.
I will train myself in martial arts and other techniques of self-defense so that I will be fully capable of defending my Black brothers and sisters from any form violence.
I will discipline myself not to engage in Black on Black violence and genocide by directing my rage and aggression away from my Black brothers and sisters and redirecting it towards our racist and fascist oppressors.
These principles I pledge to study, recite, and practice daily and to teach them to other Black brothers and sisters in order to unify and liberate my People.
All Power to the People!!
